… and even further than the Altima name

1993-1997 Nissan Altima

In 1993, the North American version of the model previously incarnated as the 510 and Stanza became the Altima. Initially, the car carried both names and was known as the Stanza-Altima. The owner’s manual even had both nameplates on it, as did the trunk of the car. In Japan, meanwhile, the car still went by the Bluebird name.

For the first time, the American version of the model was actually designed, and built, in the U.S. It continues to be assembled on our continent today.
