Bucking the current market downturn Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. is forecast to post record profits of more than $9.1 billion CAD (740 billion yen) for its fiscal year that ended March 31, 2003.
According to the Nihon Keizai Shimbun (newspaper), its record profits have much to do with its exciting new product line that includes the Nissan Altima, introduced last year, new 350Z sports coupe, and Murano sport utility vehicle.
