Tyler Clary won a gold medal in swimming, last year at the 2012 London Olympic Games. This year, he is bidding for a Skip Barber scholarship.

The California-native is amongst the pack of 33 finalists fighting for a sponsored ride in a Skip Barber Regional Race series.

The series happens to be part of the IndyCar's "Road to Indy", which means if 23-year-old Clary is selected, he will officially be part of the IndyCar fold.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, Marco Andretti and Helio Castroneves are just three of the many IndyCar drivers that have attended the Skip Barber racing school.
