Phantom Extended Wheelbase

For the ultra-rich, Rolls Royce has created the ultimate luxury limousine. By taking a "regular" Phantom and adding an extra 250 mm of steel and other materials behind the "B" pillars while gaining only 160 lbs, the extended wheelbase version will satisfy the most demanding customers.  60 miles per hour is reached in less than 6 seconds, impressive for such a big car.

What is otherwise interesting about the interior other than special lighting, a DVD player with screen and a cooling box for drinks, is that there is a solid division between the front and rear passenger quarters. This item is built from the finest leather and wood veneers that includes a transparent screen.  Other interesting point, the Phantom can be ordered in no less than 45,000 colors!

In the last 2 years, the average Rolls-Royce buyer went from more than 60 years old to more than 50.  The company announced that they will offer a convertible model in 2007.  This car, based on the 100EX Concept presented in Detroit last year, will be smaller than the Phantom but will share its V12 engine.
