This is a sad moment in American Automotive history. We will therefore refrain from making comments about cheap plastics and the Aztek... as of now.

All kidding aside, the brand that is in large part credited with creating the muscle-car era has finally officially succumb to GM's past multiple financial problems. The elimination of the Pontiac brand was but one measure in GM's restructuring plan. Also dropped from the General's repertoire were Saturn, Saab and Hummer which were either sold or essentially abandoned.
Pontiac did business under the GM umbrella from 1926 to 2010. In that time, such greats as the GTO, the Bonneville, the Tempest (not the more recent ones), the Firebird and the Trans-Am, the Grand Prix and many others graced our streets and, in the case of the Fiero, the walls in some of our bedrooms...
To commemorate the brand's recent past, we thought we'd put a gallery together of all the late-model Pontiacs that we have driven over the last few years. We've also thrown in a few of our favourites from the past.
