An unfortunate incident occurred during the 6th edition of the Arctic Route Adventure. The convoy of Porsche Cayennes are making their way from Vancouver, BC to Anchorage, Alaska, including a stop up in Deadhorse which marks the end of the northbound highway.

The second day on the road, as the group was travelling from Prince George to Fort Nelson, slushy snow was covering the pavement and made it quite slippery. The lead vehicle, a 2011 Cayenne Turbo, passed a slow-moving semi truck, and as the driver was merging back in his lane, he lost control of the 500-hp SUV.

After a 180-degree spin, the truck slammed against a snow bank, spun again and came to a stop. The Cayenne Turbo suffered from broken radiator, wheel and side window in addition to body damage.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident, and the rest of the convoy are pursuing their route to the Arctic.
