Porsche today announced the complete official specs for the new 911 Carrera 4 GTS with all-wheel drive. Available in both coupe ($125,700) and cabriolet ($137,000) body styles, it will go on sale in Canada this fall.

The 3.8-litre flat-six engine produces 408 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque through a standard 6-speed manual gearbox. A number of internal changes, including a special resonance intake manifold and a standard sports exhaust system with four black tailpipes, give the car an extra 23 horsepower over the 911 Carrera 4S. Yet, fuel consumption reportedly stays at 11.2 L/100 km.

Equipped with the optional 7-speed PDK transmission and optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Coupe sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds. Standard acceleration times hover around 4.7 seconds.

An electronically-controlled Porsche Traction Management (PTM) all-wheel drive system, electromagnetically-controlled multi-plate clutch and standard mechanical limited-slip differential further improve traction around tight turns.

Outside, the new Carrera 4 GTS stands out from other 911 models with a SportDesign front apron, black side skirts from the 911 GT2 and 19-inch RS Spyder design wheels painted in high-gloss black with polished lips.

Meanwhile, the interior features black Alcantara on the middle sections of the standard sport seats with larger side bolsters. This rich material is also used wherever the driver comes into direct contact with the vehicle, like on the rim of the three-spoke SportDesign steering wheel as well as on the gear and handbrake levers.
