The entry-level Challenger SE will soon be available at a base price of $24,995. It will boast a 3.5L V6 producing 250 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque through a 4-speed automatic transmission. The automaker promises fuel economy ratings of 12.2 L/100 km in the city and 8.1 L/100 km on the highway.

Standard features include, among others, 17-inch alloy wheels, P215/65R17 tires, 4-wheel disc brakes, a power-adjustable driver's seat, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, room for 5, side curtain airbags, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, power windows, door locks and mirrors as well as climate control.

For $34,995, buyers will be able to get their hands on a Challenger R/T, which is powered by a 5.7L HEMI V8 generating 370 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Once again, an autobox comes standard, but this time, with five gears.

In addition to the previously mentioned equipment, this model offers leather upholstery, front heated seats, SIRIUS satellite radio, keyless entry, a 6-speaker Boston Acoustics sound system, chrome exhaust tips, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), 18-inch alloy wheels, P225/60HR18 tires, a body-colored rear spoiler, fog lights and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A few extra bucks allows you to replace the automatic transmission by a 6-speed manual gearbox. This option also adds a limited-slip rear differential, chrome pedals and Hill-Start Assist.

Having said that, performance enthusiasts will be more interested in the Challenger SRT8. At $45,995, this fire-breathing model uses a 6.1L HEMI V8 to develop 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Transmission selection consists of a 6-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic. Standard equipment includes a limited-slip differential, black stripes, bolstered seats, 20-inch forged alloy wheels and Brembo brakes.
