Lexus LF-Ch

It’s a known fact that Toyota’s high-end division has long searched for smaller, more affordable alternatives. The LF-Ch might be the closest thing yet to an actual production model, which will reportedly be unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March.

Aesthetically, the LF-Ch recalls the Mazda3 Sport. Look at the stretched tailgate, the sleek 5-door configuration and the prominent smile where Lexus wants to display its new visual signature. Special attention to detail is found in the neatly-integrated wraparound taillights, the heavily-sculpted and modern rear bumper incorporating dual exhaust tips as well as the concealed door handles.

The interior is pretty neat, too, with a low driving position and a sport steering wheel featuring paddle shifters, all wrapped in soft leather, polished aluminum and rich wood. The Remote Touch controller, introduced on the RX 450h, is also included. Elsewhere, every occupant gets an iPod dock and the sideview mirrors have been replaced by a camera-monitor system.

There’s a fat chance these cool gadgets won’t make it to production, however. Same thing for the 20-inch alloy wheels.
