Everyone knows the famed IZOD IndyCar driver Danica Patrick, the first female driver to have won an IndyCar race. However, there are several other female competitors who are performing extremely well in their own categories. Interestingly, many of them are racing stock cars.
Simona De Silvestro
Simona raced karts and single seater in Europe before coming to North America in 2006. She won four races in the Formula Atlantic series and is now competing in the IZOD IndyCar series.
Johanna Long
She first raced karts and at age 14, it was time to start following in the steps of her father by taking on the Late Model scene in the Southeast. Last year, Johanna's name was brought into the limelight as she made her first foray into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series after turning 18.

She began racing in 1991 and in June 2002, she debuted in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Off of the track, Jennifer is a business professional and has almost two decades of marketing and advertising experience.
