The teams competing in the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship will decide Tuesday night if they intend to go ahead and contest the Rally Jordan.

Autosport.com said earlier that the boat transporting the kit from Italy to Israel failed to arrive at 2 p.m. on Tuesday and was expected to arrive at 10 p.m.

However, it is so late that Israeli customs will be closed at that time, meaning the earliest the kit is going to arrive in the Dead Sea service park is mid-afternoon tomorrow, less than 24 hours before the first competing cars are scheduled to arrive expecting to be serviced after the first loop of competition.

The arrival of the boat has been postponed four times. Originally, it was supposed to arrive on Sunday.

Sources indicate that the logical plan would seem to cancel Thursday’s activities and get the rally run on Friday and Saturday.

Canceling the event is still possible, but teams and organizers are working hard and trying everything to avoid it.
