The French Federation of Motor Sport has confirmed that the 2011 Rally of France will be presented again in the Alsace region, near Strasbourg.

Alsace, birthplace of Sébastien Loeb and of WTCC champion Yvan Muller, hosted for the first time in 2010 the French leg of the World Rally Championship, previously held on the island of Corsica for three decades.

The Rally de France 2010 was a great popular success, but there were some concerns about the budget for 2011, and doubt remained as to the return of the WRC in the area.

Finally, an agreement was reached between the local governing bodies, and the FFSA, which has confirmed that the 2011 Rallye de France will be located in the same area than last year.
