Frenchman, Sebastien Ogier, and his codriver, Julien Ingrassia, spent one full day of testing on Monday driving the new VW Polo R WRC on some twisty roads in Ardeche in preparation for the famous Rallye Monte-Carlo.
The 2008 Junior World Rally Champion drove on snow-covered roads early in the day, and then on mainly dry tarmac after the sun came out.
Team Volkswagen would not disclose any information about the new rally car, and the Polo was driven straight under the team's canopy after each run.
Team VW will soon continue to test the Polo R in Sweden; and Ogier's teammate, Jari-Matti Latvala, will share the driving duties with Ogier.
