Cold conditions did not stop the 22 teams registered for the 25th edition of the Rally Sanair that participated to the event last Saturday.

Joël Levac and new codriver Stéphanie Lewis, on Mini Cooper S, took the first victory of this new season of the Rally Quebec Championship.

Levac and Lewis won the last three specials, finishing in front of Peter Robindaine and Daniel Héroux (Honda Civic) and early leaders Philippe Roberge and Éric Lachance, also on Honda Civic.

In Quebec Cup, Sylvain Bazinet and David Legault got the best out of their Honda Civic to finish in front of Carl Tremblay and Luis Dicaire, on VW Golf GTi. Bazinet and Legault dominated the category, winning every special.

Nineteen of the 22 teams managed to reach the finish line of this cold and wet rally. Next event will take place on June 19th, in Saguenay.
