Team Renault F1 driver Robert Kubica took fourth place in the French Rallye du Var this past weekend behind the wheel of a Renault Clio S16.

Kubica was contesting his third rally of the season, having contested the Rallye d'Antibes and the Monte Carlo Rally earlier this year. The Rallye du Var is held on asphalt.

The Formula 1 driver was again co-driven by Jakub Gerber. The duo finished fourth, three and a half minutes behind the rally winner Cedric Robert who was driving a Peugeot 307. Bryan Bouffier, driving a Peugeot 207 S2000, finished in second place and captured the title of the French Rally Championship.

Le Mans Series’ Champion Stephane Sarrazin, also driving a Peugeot 207 S2000 claimed third place, less than 30 seconds down to Bouffier.
