Formula 2
Chassis: Williams - Engine: 1.8-litre Audi turbo (425 bhp/480 with the overboost) - Tires: Avon
Champion: Mirko Bortolotti (Italian, 21). Chances to make it to F1 : 1/5.

The Formula 2 series was relaunched in 2009 under the guidance of FIA President Max Mosley. However, the F2 remains a relatively unknown series that does not generate a lot of interest. Italian Mirko Bortolotti, a former Red Bull driver, dominated the series in 2011 but he doesn't seem to have the support to make it to F1.

GP3
Chassis: Dallara - Engine: 2-litre Renault turbo (280 bhp) - Tires: Pirelli
Champion: Valtteri Bottas (Finn, 22). Chances to make it to F1: 3/5.

The GP3 is a strong series and the first step of the GP3- GP2-F1 ladder. Valtteri Bottas clinched the title with the Lotus ART team. The Finn was already a test driver for Williams.
