In a scramble, Auto Bugatti's team was able to put together the 2 superb examples of the S281 that can be seen at the show. Obviously based on the New Mustang, the Saleen S281 inherits the 4.6L V8 whose 325 hp differs very little from the regular Mustang GT. Thankfully, a supercharged S281 SC with 400 hp will also be offered. The base price for the S281 SC will be of $54,135, which is slightly less than the previous version.
Also, for the real high-performance lovers, this will be the second year that they will be able to lay eyes on Saleen's ultimate creation, the superb S7. Under the hood is a 7.0L V8 that spits out 575 hp and 570 lb/ft of torque. It is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. With a selling price of $395,000 U.S., this may be the only time that most of us will ever see one...
