Saleen, recognized as a premier tuner, is located in Orange County California. Based on the hot all-new Mustang, the Saleen S281 shares the same 4.6L V8 as a regular Mustang but has been massaged to 325 hp. For real performance, a supercharged S281 SC with 400 hp will also be available. For those with a fatter wallet and for who less than 500 hp just won't do, the ultimate 281 E will also be offered and will boast at least 500 hp.
Modifications include brake, suspension and wheel/tire upgrades. The interior receives specially bolstered sport seats, race-inspired pedals and a short-throw shifter.
