This is no ordinary classic Mustang. In fact, other than having once been a 1969 'Stang, it is very modern indeed. Built and designed by a team that included Mustang racer Vaughn Gittin Jr., programmers of the video game "Need for Speed" and the fabrication crews of Twins Turbo and Steen Chassis of Signal Hill, California, this 1969 Ford Mustang RTR-X is more than the sum of all its parts.
The body shell comes from well-known Dynacorn Classic Bodies and will cover a brand-new Ford 5.0L V8 engine. The 302 is mounted by Kinsler Individual Throttle Body injection controlled by a MoTeC M800 ECU. The suspension is perhaps the sickest part of the car as it consists in a custom Art Morrison front sub-frame and rear Maier Racing push/pull-rod cantilever suspension system.
This car is insane!!!
