Vitantonio Liuzzi won the final race of the Speedcar season in Bahrain but the big winner was Gianni Morbidelli, who claims the championship.
Two of the title contenders found themselves in trouble right at the first corner, as Johnny Herbert was pushed into a spin by Ramez Azzam, and Liuzzi hit Frentzen.
Alesi, who started from last position after a technical failure in race 1, didn't slow down before the rolling start, and jumped everybody to take the lead. But he was then called for a drive through penalty, that left Biagi in the lead ahead of Al Maktoum and Liuzzi.
Liuzzi passed both Al Maktoum and Biagi to grab victory after this last race of the season, ahead of Biagi, Al Maktoum and Navarro.
Gianni Morbidelli finished 5th, and takes championship victory, two points ahead of Johnny Herbert, who finished 6th.
Jacques Villeneuve, who missed Bahrain races concludes the championship in position 11.
