The less expensive Outback H6-3.0 gets the all-wheel driving system currently used in every other Subaru vehicle with an automatic transmission, in which an electronically-controlled hydraulic transfer clutch directs power to the wheels that need it even before slippage occurs.

Standard equipment on every H6-3.0 model includes dual power moonroofs, automatic climate control with ambient temperature gauge, an eight-way power driver's seat, full leather interior, remote keyless entry, dual mode heated front seats, rear seat center armrest, and a distinctive mahogany wood and leather steering wheel designed by Momo.

The Outback H6-3.0 VDC also introduces a premium automotive sound system from McIntosh Audio.

The Outback H6-3.0 VDC system adds another level of driving control - an all-wheel, all-speed Traction Control System, which should stop wheel spin on a slippery surface without the need for a limited slip differential even if three wheels are slipping on ice or snow.

"We pioneered 'best of both worlds' cross-over vehicles that combine the best attributes of both passenger cars and SUVs and the results have been a hit with both critics and customers," says Anwyll. "The one thing drivers and journalists told us we needed to make the package even better was more power."
