Heavy-duty raised suspension, 185 mm of ground clearance, and 225/60 R16 Firestone Wilderness tires on new-design 16" x 6.5" alloy wheels give the Outback H6-3.0 what Anwyll likes to call "recreational off-road capability."

The Outback's platform features 4-wheel independent suspension using a specially tuned strut layout in front and a multilink setup in the rear. Outbacks all come with 4-channel, 4-sensor anti-lock disc brakes with twin-piston calipers up front.

Standard safety equipment also includes three-point seatbelts for all five seating positions, and front and side-impact airbags for both front seat occupants. A new dual-stage front airbag on the passenger side determines the correct deployment strength depending on the severity of an impact.
