The special edition truck is powered by the Toyota's i-Force 4.7-litre V8 engine enhanced by sequential multi port electronic fuel injection, direct ignition, a split port/plenum induction system, and advanced Electronic Throttle Control System (ETCS i). Note that was and still is the first 32-valve, double overhead camshaft V8 ever offered in a full-size pickup. The Tundra V8 delivers 245 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and an aggressive 315 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm. In T3 trim it is equipped with the Borla dual exhaust system, resulting in an additional 10 horsepower and 10 lb-ft of torque.
In addition Toyota's Automatic Disconnecting Differential (ADD) mated to a robust part-time 4WD system is ideal for serious off-road duty.

The Tundra T3's audio system offers 6-speakers connected to an AM/FM tuner and 6-disc in-dash CD player. Furthermore, standard features include cruise control, air-conditioning and full carpeting.
