The day's track activities concluded with an accident avoidance exercise and a timed slalom event. It was interesting to see the transformation from tentatively practicing our hand positioning in the morning to tearing through the cones during the final timed competition in the afternoon.

So what is the price tag on this day of fun and learning? The Level 1 BMW Advanced Driver Training costs $480. At first glance it may seem steep, but there are a number of factors to consider: How much did those driving lessons when you were 16 cost your parents? Where else can you get the chance to push a brand new BMW to its limits while under the watchful eye and instruction of a professional racecar driver cum instructor? With times and automotive technology continually changing, can you afford not to be up-to-date?
Confidence inspiring, that has to be the easiest way to sum up BMW's Advanced Driver Training program. I honestly believe I'm a better driver after completing the daylong course, and I will definitely be signing up for Level 2 next time it is offered.
