As we reported last week, the very first 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible was put up for auction this weekend by the prestigious Barrett-Jackson Auction Company in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The special Collector’s Edition model, with a VIN ending in 001, sold for a whopping $600,000 US. Inspired by the Corvette Z06 and ZR1, the 427 Convertible is the most potent drop-top model in Corvette’s history.
It’ll be available this summer, fitted exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.
