The real value of a vehicle

For many consumers, the price of a car is that which they see on its windshield while visiting a dealership. They omit to add the cost of optional accessories, taxes and transport fees, which somehow seem to be of less consideration. Nevertheless, once the deal is closed, the final tally includes the above amounts to the purchase price of the vehicle.

In order to establish the total cost of a car, transport and preparation fees need to be considered, as they are usually not included in the initial price. For example, $600 in transport and preparation fees will affect the price of the car. Added to that is the cost of registration and then... the taxes that no one escapes. Compounded together, these factors can significantly affect the price of a car.

So, for a vehicle with an initial price tag of $15,995, plus $600 in transport and preparation fees, the price without taxes is $16,595. Adding the required taxes, the final price comes up to almost $20,000. If you still believe the price of your vehicle is 15 995$, you're forgetting more than $3,000 that you will have to pay. Over a 36 month period, this represents around $80 more per month. This oversight can put a toll on your budget. Furthermore, if you are highly leveraged, you'll have to add the extra interest.

This being said, for your next automobile purchase, it is important to take in account all these extras than can increase the initial price.
