2- Ford Expedition
The Expedition is Ford’s retort to the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon. However, since it resembles the F-150 pickup, the brand-new edition of the Expedition has a largely aluminum body. Ford has not altered towing capacity for the new version, which can pull up to 9,200 lbs, like the old one. Curiously, this maximum – the best in the large-SUV category, by the way - is attained when opting for the V6 turbo engine (400 hp, 480 lb-ft of torque), combined with the 10-speed automatic. The Expedition features a comfort-enhancing independent rear suspension as well as the Trailer Back Up Assist system, which allows for backing up with a trailer or camper simply by using a rotating button and the backup camera (look ma, no hands!) The Expedition is also available in a stretched Max version, which can accommodate eight occupants.
