2019 Chevrolet Silverado
Ram wasn’t the only manufacturer showcasing an all-new pickup in Detroit; Chevy did the same with its Silverado pickup, punctuated by the new LT Trailboss trim fitted with raised suspension and off-road tires. GM says they’ve managed to shave up to 450 pounds off the outgoing truck thanks to the use of high tensile steel and aluminum components. Two gas V8s – a 5.3 L and a 6.2 L – feature Dynamic Fuel Management that can shut off any number of cylinders to help conserve fuel. Style-wise, the industry-first power tailgate gets classic “Chevrolet” script stamped across its fascia, while the front grille has been given functional air curtains – first used on the Camaro – for better aerodynamics. There’s more room inside for occupants and added storage, too. Learn more about the 2019 Silverado!
