Launched at the beginning of the decade, the most advanced C4 Corvette was powered by an aluminum V8 engine that produced 375 hp. The highly sophisticated unit is certainly a bad idea for my dream garage given its costly long-term maintenance, but for the privilege and pleasure of getting behind the wheel of such a cool Corvette again, you have to accept inconveniences like that.
It may be a moot point anyways - a brief search of classifieds sites reveals that this trim is already commanding a sum higher than my $30,000 budget.
