Since no one stopped me, I broke that 25-year import rule on right-hand-drive vehicles bringing this 1997 model-year Lancer Evolution V into my dream garage. But hey, the wait shouldn't be too long, because this version of the most mythical Mitsubishi in the history of the three-diamond brand will be eligible for official importing in just a few months.

I should mention that I owned a copy of the first generation of the model that appeared in 1992-93 in Japan for ten years. I've since parted ways with the car, but the urge to get a newer version is very strong right now – especially since to dream costs exactly nothing.
