The Volvo is the top-ranked plug-in hybrid vehicle on AAA’s list, and the high total of points it earned despite the presence of a combustion engine between the front wheels speaks to its exceptional overall quality. Its modern appeal, Scandanavian-style luxury and its 400-hp 4-cylinder engine certainly helped boost its score.
