7. 7^th generation (2001-2005)

Offering more interior space thanks to a flat rear floor and new MacPherson-strut front suspension, the Honda Civic from the start of the new millennium was the first to receive a hybrid powertrain. Its exterior design was fairly bland, however, and no hatchback models were available on our shores.
