The announcement of Toyota's new Venza sedan was largely devoid of the typical rumors swirling around cyberspace for weeks before the announcement was made. The 2009 model year 'crossover sedan' will be premiered at a press conference at the 2008 American International Auto Show in Detroit. That's right- Toyota's building this one.
Despite it's European sounding name, Toyota says the Venza was designed and engineered in the USA, and will be built at Toyota's Georgetown, Kentucky plant. Toyota describes the new model as a crossover sedan for 5, with easy ingress and egress, a car like ride and functional utility.
