As the top-selling passenger car in North America for the past four years as well as being the name that Canadians most frequently cited as "the car of their dreams" in a recent Canadian Automobile Association survey, Camry sets the standard for passenger cars. With today's pricing announcement, Toyota again gives notice that it intends to extend its leadership.
To the end of July, Toyota has experienced a 4.2% year to date sales increase. The launch of the new Camry is expected to add to Toyota's momentum in the third and fourth quarters of 2001.
The full significance of this pricing announcement will only become apparent after August 27, 2001 when the specifications and features of the 2002 Camry will be released. Naturally, no printed word can take the place of the driving experience that the all-new Camry will deliver when it becomes available at 230 Toyota dealers from coast to coast early in early September.
