Another notable was the inability of series leader Sebastien Bourdais to match Tracy's lap times. The same problem occurred for second place Michael Jourdain Jr., and third place Allmendinger.

Jourdain, who was also suffering from severe tire wear, was nevertheless upbeat. "I am very happy. It is fantastic that both of the RuSPORT cars finished on the podium today, am I very happy for A.J. (Allmendinger). We had both cars finish in the top-five in Milwaukee, so it is showing that our team is improving. We've lost points in the last couple of races by making mistakes, but it is good to have a result like this today. It is my first podium here in Vancouver and it is nice to share it with A.J. It was a tough race, we went fast when we had to and it was backed up by a good race strategy."
The Vancouver event puts most American weekends to shame with regards to fan participation, with 63,406 race fans attending on the Sunday alone. In total over the three days, 158,420 people were in attendance, marking the 11th consecutive year that the Vancouver Molson Indy drew more than 155,000 fans.
