Four-time ALMS champion Level 5 Motorsport has confirmed two Prototype Challenge entries ahead of the inaugural season of the United SportsCar Championship (USCC).

The PC class features one-make Le Mans-style racing based on Oreca's FLM09 chassis. Level 5 plans on running two brand new cars in 2014.

“Level 5 has proven that it is well capable of winning races and championships in the class and we feel that we can bring our experience, expertise and resources needed for customers to succeed in this competitive form of racing,” said Level 5 team manager David Stone.

The Madison, Wisconsin-based organization, keen on attracting drivers to the series, started prospecting for drivers last weekend during a shakedown test for USCC teams at Sebring. Level 5 is and offers multiple options.

“We’re very flexible as far as future options are concerned,” added Stone.

“(Owner) Scott (Tucker)’s ultimate goal for Level 5 from the beginning was to build a world-class organization that could support the best sports car drivers as customers. And that’s exactly what we have done.”
