Police in Australia are warning drivers about inaccurate and potentially dangerous Apple Maps after six people failed to reach Mildura and had to be rescued.
Some of them even got lost for about 24 hours.
According to Apple Maps, the small town can be found 70 kilometres away from its actual location, leaving these helpless drivers in the middle of a natural park and out of cell phone coverage. Given the rough Australian climate and wildlife, the consequences could have been tragic.
So, if you ever plan a trip over there (or anywhere else, for that matter), you might want to double-check with a good old paper map!
