The 2006 season started well for Jacques Villeneuve, who picked up five FIA championship points during the last two Grand Prix races, in Sepang (Malasia) and Melbourne (Australia). Nick Heidfeld, for his part, got his five points at during the race Down Under. We recall that both drivers of the German BMW Sauber team didn't get any points during the first event of the season, at Bahreïn, with Jacques experiencing mechanical difficulties, his engine blowing at the 29th lap. Nick had finished 12th, a lap behind.

So, after only three races, I can't meet a friend of a fan of Jacques without being asked if he could still win another Grand Prix during his again career. I'm also asked to predict who between Jacques and Nick will pick up the most points this season...

They might as well ask to predict the future, or to figure out which one will have the least mechanical trouble, will make the least mistakes and will be the luckiest during qualifications, or even at the starts. It's Mission Impossible!

I've got a couple of bucks placed on Jacques' chances of finishing a few races in the points, and even standing on a podium once again, but Nick has as much potential and opportunities to do the same. Right now, the two pilots are nose to nose, and the next results are hard to predict.

One thing is certain, is that these two will be duking it out all season long, and my wish for Jacques is that he will be able to impress the BMW Sauber management during the course of the season with his performances and results on the track.
