The all-new Volkswagen Golf Cabrio will be sold in the U.S., a source close to the project told Car & Driver. This would be a first since 2002.

No word yet about Canadian availability. One thing’s almost for sure, though: A diesel engine won’t be part of the lineup due to the emissions scandal at Volkswagen.
