The all-new Volvo V90 was officially introduced to the North American market at the North American International Auto Show taking place in Detroit this week. The car is scheduled to be available as a 2018 model at dealerships in Canada and the United States over the coming months. Based on the SPA (Scalable Product Architecture) platform, it also incorporates some elements borrowed from the XC90 luxury SUV, such as a 12-inch touchscreen. In Canada, the car will feature a 4-cylinder turbo engine able to produce 316 HP, wedded to an 8-speed Geartronic transmission. Four-wheel drive will be the only available drivetrain option.
This marks the very first time the full lineup of Volvo’s 90 Series vehicles (XC90, S90 and V90) is available simultaneously in North America.
