The Jetta gets a new TDI engine that develops 140 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque, mated to either 6-speed gearboxes, manual or automatic. The 2.5-litre inline-5 and 2.0-litre turbo engines are also offered. A wagon version of the Jetta was also launched last spring, but doesn't benefit from the 2.0 TSI motor. All Jettas including the hot-rod GLI get standard side-curtain airbags.

The Passat sedan is no longer available with the 3.6L V6 and all-wheel drive, but that powertrain is still offered in the wagon version. A navigation system with 30-Gb hard drive is now optional on the Comfortline as well as Highline trims, and the latter can be fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels. Three new exterior colors are also available.

The Eos receives some equipment repackaging and color changes. A navigation system with 30-Gb hard drive is now on the options list, as well as adaptive bi-xenon headlights.

The Touareg loses its V8 engine option, leaving the 280-hp, 3.6L V6 as the only powetrain choice, and one paint color is deleted. The SUV's trim levels have also been repackaged, and the available navigation system gets the same hard disc drive feature as other Volkswagen models.
