Other features of note in the Sebring sedan for 2001 would include larger headlamps, multi-stage front air bags and optional side air bags, a power trunk release, an optional in-dash 4-disc CD player, standard 15-inch wheels and tires, optional 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, optional AutoStick pseudo-manual shifter, and much more.
Sebring Coupe for 2001 was designed to provide sportier driving yet a more sophisticated interior feel. To that end, both engines were up-sized. The base, 4-cylinder engine went from being a 2-litre affair to a 2.4-litre powerplant with a balance shaft, and it delivers 147 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 158 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm.
The V6 offering went from 2.5- to 3-litres and now puts out 200 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 205 pound-feet of torque at 4500 rpm.
Both engines are also more modern, so they come with equipment (overhead cams, aluminum heads, multi-port fuel-injection and so on) that delivers better performance at every level and a quieter ride.
But Sebring Coupe is now about more than a sporty appearance and ride, since the 2001 model offers up a considerable array of comfort and convenience items.
Highlights of the Sebring Coupe would include a 4-disc in-dash CD, an all-new instrument panel, 16-inch wheels and tires, an improved suspension system, cruise control, remote keyless entry with an immobilizer, and more.
