Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) is the leader after opening day of Rally of Sweden, opening round of the World Rally Championship. Hirvonen leads from Sébastien Loeb (Citroen).
Kimi Raikkonen (Citroen) lost several minutes after hitting a snow bank.
Dani Sordo (Citroen) was the leader apf the event fter he won first super stage on Thursday morning. However, his teammate Loeb quickly captured the lead on Friday morning.
But Mikko Hirvonen (Ford) was able to put a strong effort to pass the Frenchman at the end of the day, although Loeb won the Super Stage on Friday night.
So Hirvonen leads Loeb by 6.2 seconds with Dani Sordo in third position.
Former Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Raikkonen had a difficult debut in WRC when he was forced to drop down the order after his race incident.
