The works Ford team had to put a stop its four-day gravel tests in Portugal after Jari-Matti Latvala crashed the Ford Fiesta test car.
The young Finn had already destroyed a test car during a test session in Sweden, prior the opening round of the World Rally Championship, an event that prevented the team to run the new Fiesta RS WRC in the Arctic Lapland Rally just before Rally Sweden.
This time, the accident happened on a gravel road in Portugal, where Ford had started its first out of four days of testing in order to prepare itself for the next round of the championship, Rally Mexico.
Jari-Matti Latvala finished third in the Swedish Rally last weekend.
