Troubles in Syria put a serious threat on the Jordan Rally, Round 4 of the 2011 World Rally Championship scheduled from April 14 to 16.
Jordan is relatively free of trouble for the moment, but the situation in the surrounding countries, and more precisely in Syria hit by dramatic insurrection, might compromise the only Middle East round of the WRC this season.
The rally teams must indeed unload their equipment in a Syrian harbor, before crossing the country by road to reach Aman, in Jordan.
Citroen Racing boss Olivier Quesnel said he was hesitant to send his team in this area.
The FIA is expected to take a final decision about this issue later this week.
