Sébastien Loeb (Citroën C4) looks on his way for another victory Sunday in Rally Catalunya, as his main rival Sébastien Ogier (Citroen C4) dropped down after a mechanical issue on Saturday morning.

Loeb and Ogier were separated by only 3,8 seconds after the first day, which was ran on gravel roads. Ogier was still pushing hard on Saturday morning and stood right behind Loeb.

The Citroën Junior Team driver then had a contact in ESS8, and damaged the rear of his car. He was able to continue, but he lost one minute in the incident, and dropped down to 17th position.

Therefore, Loeb is well alone in the lead, about 45 seconds ahead of Petter Solberg’s Citroen C4.

Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford Focus) moved up to third, but Dani Sordo (Citroen C4) who struggled a bit on gravel roads on Friday, pushed hard on Saturday to overtake the Finn for third place at the end of the day. The Spanish driver is now targeting Solberg’s second place on Sunday.
