Canadian driver Robert Wickens will make his return to the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship with team Carlin this season.
Robert Wickens, 22 year-old race car driver from Toronto has already competed in the FR 3.5 series with Carlin in selected races in 2007 and 2008 (taking the win at Silverstone in 2008).
In 2009, he moved to the Formula 2 championship, where he clinched the runner-up spot with two wins. Wickens finished again second in the GP3 championship classification in 2010 (with 3 wins).
Wickens is back in team Carlin this season, and will be one of the main favourites for the title, alongside his teammate, Red Bull driver Jean-Eric Vergne, the eigning British F3 champion.
The season will start on April 16th in Alcaniz, Spain.
