Ford is thinking of coming back in the World Touring Car Championship with its new-shaped Focus.
According to Autosport, the American manufacturer is working with Arena International Motorsport, a British company who already has 3 new Focuses racing in Touring Car series in Britain (BTCC), to assess a WTCC programme.
Arena team principal Mike Earle told Autosport: "We are evaluating the build of a WTCC car and we've started work already. It should be ready in November.
"It's an evaluation project with Ford and we'll decide where we go with it. No-one has committed to anything."
Ford has last been seen racing in WTCC in 2005.
