Australian Ryan Briscoe score his first IndyCar Series race win today at the Milwaukee Mile. His victory was the 300th in the history of Roger Penske's race team.
Although Scott Dixon led most of the race, Briscoe was able to come back as far as the fourteenth place to battle for the lead. With 70 laps remaining, Briscoe was up to third place, then overtook teammate Helio Castroneves and then Dixon. Andretti Green's Tony Kanaan passed Dixon's teammate Dan Wheldon for third in the final laps, with Castroneves completing the top five. Oriol Servia took sixth for KV Racing despite having to pit for a new front wing on lap one, with fellow 'transition' drivers Justin Wilson (Newman/Haas/Lanigan) and EJ Viso (HVM) also putting in strong runs to seventh and eighth.
