Regardless of the engine or trim level, the 2011 Ford Mustang unquestionably delivers the goods. While appealing to nostalgic fans, it capitalizes on all the latest advancements at Ford. It’s the very definition of evolution.

And let’s face it: the Mustang continues to be one of the few cars that people recognize from afar, either by its distinctive look or equally distinctive sound. And that, my friends, is also part of the fun.

Steve, the original Mustang is the 1964 version.

The "original" car in the lead photo is of a Mustang II, circa 1975. Funny that you make the comment: "...no other muscle car has managed to preserve the look and feel of its ancestors as effectively (notwithstanding a disastrous period during the '70s)..." and then show one of those "disastrous" 70's models, with the caption "...Sure, it beautifully draws inspiration from the original model while adding some gorgeously-executed modern cues..." Minus 1000 credibility points for the writer...
